The fund is providing $1 million annually for three years to protect and restore state-owned lakes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During the webinar, the department will report on projects underway and accept input toward developing a budget for best use of funds for the coming year, in coordination with local governments, organizations, and citizens.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The funds can be used for removing sediment, treating contaminated sediment, preventing the spread of invasive species, improving the ecological and recreational value, and any other action the department deems necessary at any or all of the 16 lakes throughout Maryland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The public is invited to register in advance using <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1pMkcz-Fb-4_Kjke6cLp4LVnEoD6lEIo1G8NKUP-kl9c\/viewform?ts=5fa2fe07&amp;gxids=7628&amp;edit_requested=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">an online form<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0to attend the webinar.
