These bushel limits were originally issued by public notice effective July 1, 2020.\u00a0<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bushel limits vary by license type and time of year. The full list can be found on the department\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/fisheries\/Documents\/Public_Notices\/PN-FemaleBlueCrabBushelLimit_SeasonExtension.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fishing and Boating Services public notice<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> page.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Chesapeake Bay regulations <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/fisheries\/Documents\/Public_Notices\/PubNotCrabFemaleBushelLimits_JulytoDec2020%20(1).pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">as previously posted<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> will resume Nov. 8, and those reduced catch limits will continue until Nov. 30.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The season for catching crabs in the Maryland Coastal Bays is extended from Oct. 31 to Nov. 30 for male and female crabs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">No harvest of female blue crabs is allowed in Maryland beginning Dec. 1.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Department Extends October Regulations The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is extending the October bushel limits on Chesapeake Bay mature female hard crabs that can be harvested by commercial watermen by one week, through Nov. 7.
