These mobile-friendly volunteer surveys can easily help turn a fishing trip into a scientific expedition by submitting basic data directly from a smartphone.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The department has several volunteer angler surveys for various species and programs, including<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/fisheries\/Pages\/reefs\/MARI_Survey.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">artificial reef initiative<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSecGXN1H62i_KpeacapNf9l1nU9YfEvMKvPsgpub5U4qcDbhQ\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">freshwater fisheries<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/fisheries\/Pages\/striped-bass\/SB_survey.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">striped bass<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
