{"id":30240,"date":"2020-03-06T08:51:34","date_gmt":"2020-03-06T13:51:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/dnr\/?p=30240"},"modified":"2020-03-06T08:51:34","modified_gmt":"2020-03-06T13:51:34","slug":"maryland-hunter-safety-education-class-offered-in-garrett-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/dnr\/2020\/03\/06\/maryland-hunter-safety-education-class-offered-in-garrett-county\/","title":{"rendered":"Maryland Hunter Safety Education Class Offered in Garrett County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Three-Session Class Begins March 31<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright \" src=\"https:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/329\/31462297644_356bb0ede5.jpg\" alt=\"Photo of hunters being shown firearms safety tips\" width=\"353\" height=\"234\" \/>The <a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Maryland Department of Natural Resources<\/a> is offering a <a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/nrp\/Pages\/hunter_education.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hunter Safety Education<\/a> class on March 31, April 2, and April 4, 2020 at <a href=\"https:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/publiclands\/Pages\/western\/herrington.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Herrington Manor State Park<\/a> in Oakland, Garrett County. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Classes on March 31 and April 2 will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and class on April 4 will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants must attend all three sessions and the class is limited to 30 students. Any student under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The course will consist of classroom sessions, a field practical, and a live-firing practical. A written test will be given at the end of the course.
