Brief Interruption to Service While Work is Done<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The Maryland Park Service<\/a> is upgrading its online reservation system with new features that will make it easier for customers and park staff to use. The new version of the online reservation system will be available to customers Feb. 13.<\/span><\/p>\n

The online reservation system will be unavailable Feb. 6-12 while the upgrade is completed. The work is scheduled during the least busy time of year for the system. Also, the updates will not affect customers\u2019 existing reservations, account information, or history.<\/span><\/p>\n

The online reservation system on the Maryland Department of Natural Resources website is used by customers to reserve campsites, cabins, pavilions, and other amenities<\/a> at dozens of parks around the state.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Once the new version is installed, the reservation site will be mobile-responsive, adjusting to any screen size, and featuring a more modern look and feel.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a welcome leap forward in park reservation technology that will make the booking experience much easier and more intuitive for park visitors,\u201d Maryland Park Service Superintendent Nita Settina said.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the scheduled outage, no new reservations, changes, or cancellations can be made, either through the website or the call center. However, park staff can provide walk-in permits for same-day arrivals where campgrounds are open and available.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before they can access their accounts, customers will be asked to change their password once the new reservation system is accessible online. All customers who have made a reservation within the past few years will receive an email with instructions on how to reset their password and access the system.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
