The majority of this year\u2019s trout stocking come from the department\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/fisheries\/Pages\/hatcheries\/powell.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Albert Powell Hatchery<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> near Hagerstown.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Throughout the summer, staff have been looking after thousands of trout ranging in size from one-half pound to one pound. However, several trophy-sized spring \u201choldovers\u201d in the three-pound range will also be stocked.\u00a0<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Unlike spring trout stocking, which has a set schedule, fall trout stocking is limited. Stocking locations and times can change due to a variety of factors including water temperature, water flow, and weather conditions. Additionally, some stocked streams have seasonal restrictions so anglers should consult the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eregulations.com\/maryland\/fishing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2019 Maryland Guide to Fishing and Crabbing<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for all regulations and restrictions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Anglers can <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/public.govdelivery.com\/accounts\/MDDNR\/subscriber\/new?qsp=CODE_RED\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sign up<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> to receive daily stocking updates or can call a recorded hotline at 800-688-3467, which is updated every Friday.
