The class runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Anyone who wishes to obtain a <a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/wildlife\/Pages\/hunt_trap\/furbearer_license.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">permit to trap furbearers<\/a> must first earn a certificate of trapper education. To pass this course and receive a certification card, participants must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Bring the completed Maryland Trapper Education Workbook to class for instructor review;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Participate in trap handling\/field exercises; and<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Pass the 50-question written test with a score of at least 70%.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Online registration is required by Sept. 13.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If a participant has any difficulty with reading, testing, or any other aspect of understanding the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">information in this course, special accommodations and assistance can be provided by notifying the instructor ahead of time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">More information about the <a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/nrp\/Pages\/trappered.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trapper Education Program<\/a>, along with a copy of the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/Documents\/Maryland_Trapper_Ed_Workbook.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Maryland Trapper Education Workbook<\/a>, is available <a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/nrp\/Pages\/trappered.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">online<\/a>.
