Building upon that legacy, this program will provide visitors with an up-close and personal look at weapons, uniforms and military gear from the 1600s colonial militia, French and Indian War, American Revolution, War of 1812, Civil War, 1870s Native American wars, Spanish-American War, World War II, and Desert Storm. A special program will show how soldiering changed over time &#8212; and how it stayed the same.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0\u201cThis informative and educational program allows our visitors to learn about our military past, including changes and similarities in the lives of soldiers throughout American history,\u201d Ranger Rob Ambrose said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The events take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Events begin with a flag raising ceremony over the historic fort, which was built in 1756.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Visitors will pay a service charge of $3 per vehicle for residents and $5 for nonresidents.
