It\u00a0incorporates public input that was gathered through surveys and public stakeholder meetings held throughout Maryland in 2018, as well as a thorough analysis of national, state and local issues impacting recreation and natural resource conservation.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The plan receives federal funding from the\u00a0National Park Service\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/dnr\/2018\/01\/03\/funding-available-for-outdoor-recreation-projects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Land and Water Conservation Fund<\/a> and must be reviewed and updated every five years.<\/p>\n<p>Public input is welcome on any part of the plan through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.doit.state.md.us\/selectsurvey\/TakeSurvey.aspx?PageNumber=1&amp;SurveyID=8610792&amp;Preview=true#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online comment form<\/a> or by mail to: Maryland State Land Preservation and Recreation Plan Coordinator, 580 Taylor Ave., E-4, Annapolis, MD 21401.
