Workshop Set for Nov. 2 in Crownsville\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources<\/a>\u00a0will co-host a workshop<\/a> Nov. 2 to solicit feedback on options to further develop data available on ocean marine life and habitat.<\/p>\n

Input received will help refine existing marine mammal and seabird data that is available on the Mid-Atlantic Ocean Data Portal<\/a>, a multistate ocean information resource developed by the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council on the Ocean.<\/p>\n

The event will take place from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Maryland Historical Trust<\/a> in Crownsville.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Feedback will be gathered from federal and state government partners, scientists, stakeholders and the general public.<\/p>\n

The workshop will focus on options for further synthesis of the marine life data in order to increase understanding of ecologically rich areas and to foster more informed decision-making, as called for in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Ocean Action Plan<\/a>, which was developed by the Mid-Atlantic Regional Planning Body.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
