The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/Publiclands\/Pages\/parkpass.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maryland State Park &amp; Trail Passport<\/a>\u00a0available now provides access to our network of state parks now through Dec. 31, 2018, meaning extra time for the yearlong pass if purchased before the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The passport is available to residents for $75 and nonresidents for $100.<\/p>\n<p>Adults ages 62 and older can purchase a <a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/publiclands\/Pages\/goldenage.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Golden Age Pass<\/a>, which provides a lifetime pass entitling seniors to free day-use entry and complimentary boat launch in addition to half-price camping Sunday through Thursday at state parks. All for a one-time service fee of $10.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Maryland&#8217;s 72 state parks include more than 900 miles of trails for biking, hiking and horseback riding, as well as unique water access and camping facilities throughout the state.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our state parks offer a vast variety of scenic and historic places to be enjoyed by citizens of all ages,&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/Publiclands\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maryland Park Service<\/a> Superintendent Nita Settina said. &#8220;With new parks planned, we hope that everyone will take advantage of the outstanding opportunities our park passes offer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Maryland State Park &amp; Trail Passports and Golden Age Passes are available online at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.shopdnr.com\/marylandstateparkpassports.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maryland Department of Natural Resources Outdoor Store<\/a> or by downloading the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/publiclands\/Documents\/AnnualPassportform.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maryland Park Service\u00a0Passport Form<\/a>\u00a0to print an order form and pay by mail-in check.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Passports Purchased Now Provide Extra Time for Public Access The\u00a0Maryland Department of Natural Resources\u00a0offers access to outdoor recreation opportunities for everyone, and right now is an ideal time to get passes for entry to public lands for 2018.
