{"id":18087,"date":"2017-10-13T11:05:46","date_gmt":"2017-10-13T15:05:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/dnr\/?p=18087"},"modified":"2017-10-19T11:29:51","modified_gmt":"2017-10-19T15:29:51","slug":"natural-resources-transportation-departments-combine-services-in-salisbury","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/dnr\/2017\/10\/13\/natural-resources-transportation-departments-combine-services-in-salisbury\/","title":{"rendered":"Natural Resources, Transportation Departments Combine Services in Salisbury"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>One-Stop Shopping for Outdoor Recreation Licenses Available<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright \" src=\"https:\/\/c1.staticflickr.com\/5\/4166\/34082720820_c54af62af6.jpg\" alt=\"Photo of Department of Natural Resources sign at combined service center\" width=\"350\" height=\"156\" \/>Delivering on the Hogan Administration\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maryland.gov\/pages\/customerservice.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Customer Service Promise<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maryland Department of Natural Resources<\/a> and the Maryland Department of Transportation\/Motor Vehicle Administration have begun operating a <a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/Pages\/servicecenter.aspx?ServiceCenter=Salisbury%20Service%20Center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">combined service center in Salisbury<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->\u201cOur administration is committed to providing the highest level of customer service from our state government,\u201d said Governor Larry Hogan. \u201cThis convenient one-stop-shop service center will save time and increase efficiency for thousands of Marylanders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Salisbury office provides customers access to services of both agencies including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vehicle and boat registration and titles,<\/li>\n<li>Recreational hunting, fishing and crabbing licenses,<\/li>\n<li>Commercial fishing licenses,<\/li>\n<li>Off-road vehicle permits, and<\/li>\n<li>Excise tax collections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cThe Department of Natural Resources is pleased to partner with the Motor Vehicle Administration to better serve residents on the Eastern Shore,\u201d said Maryland Natural Resources Secretary Mark Belton. \u201cWicomico County is a hub for business, agriculture, and transportation\u2014areas in which our two departments offer various license, title, transportation, and permit services. The ability to jointly provide access to our services under one roof greatly enhances our customers&#8217; experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to give the residents of the Eastern Shore a convenient location to complete their Motor Vehicle Administration and Department of Natural Resources transactions,\u201d said Deputy Transportation Secretary Jim Ports. \u201cMDOT is committed to providing a one-stop shop experience where customers can address all their transportation needs in one centralized location.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A combined service center also opened in <a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/Pages\/servicecenter.aspx?ServiceCenter=Essex%20Service%20Center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Essex<\/a> opened in May 2017.
