In this edition of the Maryland Natural Resource<\/em>, we investigate some fascinating phenomena around the state, most of which has a perfectly natural and scientific explanations.<\/p>\n Among the articles, you\u2019ll find insight on some seasonally spooky species that too often get a bad reputation. Enter the world of Maryland\u2019s spiders<\/span><\/a> to learn more about the perennially misunderstood and tremendously beneficial arachnid.<\/p>\n Also featured is the story of the raven<\/span><\/a>\u2014the \u201cgrim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous bird of yore\u201d immortalized in Edgar Allan Poe\u2019s poetic masterpiece.
