Visitors are invited to enjoy a hot breakfast, join in children\u2019s activities, and listen to live folk and bluegrass music in a large heated tent.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This annual event is a great way for the whole family to get outside to take part in a Catoctin Mountain tradition,&#8221; Cunningham Falls State Park Manager Mark Spurrier said.<\/p>\n<p>The event takes place in the park&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Catoctin+Hollow+Rd,+Thurmont,+MD+21788\/@39.6183885,-77.4695302,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x89c9c7386460401b:0xfd0cd6a1fb20128e!8m2!3d39.6183885!4d-77.4673415\" target=\"_blank\">William Houck Area<\/a>, 14039 Catoctin Hollow Road, Thurmont. Sign-language interpretation will be provided on Sundays.\u00a0Pets are permitted in outside areas of the event.<\/p>\n<p>A donation of $3 per person or $2 per person for youth groups is requested. Children in safety seats are free. A pancake and sausage breakfast will be\u00a0served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for an additional cash-only cost.<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from the\u00a0Maple Syrup Festival benefit the nonprofit Friends of Cunningham Falls State Park and <a href=\"http:\/\/dnr.maryland.gov\/publiclands\/Pages\/western\/gambrill.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Gambrill State Park<\/a>.
