Family Friendly Event Set for Sept. 24<\/em><\/p>\n

Anglers, conservationists, hunters and others interested in the great outdoors are invited to take part in the 10th<\/sup> annual\u00a0National Hunting and Fishing Day<\/a><\/span>\u00a0celebration, hosted by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"National<\/a>This free<\/strong>, family friendly event will take place Sept. 24, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. (rain or shine) at the Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore in Marriottsville (11518 Marriottsville Road<\/a>).<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Featuring exhibits from over\u00a030 sportsman clubs, conservation organizations and small businesses, participants and visitors will enjoy interactive activities and programming, including spin-casting, waterfowl calling, hunting dog demonstrations, as well as instructor-led archery and target shooting.<\/p>\n

\"National<\/a>\u201cThis event is designed for young people excited to\u00a0explore the great outdoors as well as seasoned anglers, hunters and shooters interested in speaking with department personnel or other like-minded individuals or vendors,\u201d Wildlife and Heritage Hunter Recruitment and Retention Specialist Chris Markin said. \u201cIt is also a great opportunity to educate and engage citizens about the important role that hunting and fishing play in natural resource conservation and management.\u201d<\/p>\n
