These events allow hunters to take the necessary\u00a0proficiency test required to obtain a <a href=\"http:\/\/dnr2.maryland.gov\/huntersguide\/Pages\/shootqual.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Shooter Qualification Card<\/a>\u00a0in order\u00a0to participate in many of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eregulations.com\/maryland\/hunting\/managed-deer-hunting\/\" target=\"_blank\">managed deer hunts<\/a> scheduled for the fall and winter.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Please note that several locations are by <em>appointment only<\/em> and that many charge a minimal fee to cover expenses. Maryland hunters are reminded that a lottery system is used to\u00a0select participants for many of the managed hunts.
