Services include, but are not limited to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Health and safety repairs (e.g., mold, lead, radon, gas leaks)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Structural and exterior repairs (e.g., roofs, windows, foundations)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Electrical and plumbing improvements<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Accessibility modifications (e.g., ramps, grab bars, chair lifts)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">These activities are funded through DHCD\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dhcd.maryland.gov\/Energy-Home-Repair\/Pages\/Homeowner-Loans\/Rehab.aspx\"><b>Special Loans Programs<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and are designed to improve housing quality, safety, and livability across Maryland.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Eligible Applicants<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Political subdivisions (local governments)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nonprofit organizations (as defined in the Housing and Community Development Article \u00a74-901)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Applicants must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Be in good standing with the State of Maryland<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Demonstrate experience, staffing, and operational capacity to administer rehabilitation programs<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Geographic Scope<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Funding is available to support services across <\/span><b>all 24 Maryland jurisdictions (including Baltimore City)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Applicants may apply to serve one or multiple counties.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Estimated Funding<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Approximately <\/span><b>$6,000,000<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is available statewide.
