Funding will help advance efforts in housing production and homeownership, household and generational wealth building, including small business development and targeted investments in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/enoughact.powerappsportals.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">designated ENOUGH areas<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dhcd.maryland.gov\/Just-Communities\/Pages\/default.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Just Communities<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. These investments aim to strengthen and transform neighborhoods into thriving, vibrant communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThese 38 awards represent meaningful positive change in communities across the state, supporting diverse projects from small business assistance to housing construction,\u201d<\/span><b> said Secretary Jake Day.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u201cThe Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development is proud to make this investment in helping critical revitalization projects succeed in their goals to create loveable places and stronger economies across Maryland.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the FY 2026 application round, the department received 217 applications requesting nearly $10 million. Awardees in this round include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Garwyn Oaks Northwest Housing Resource Center<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in Baltimore City will receive $25,000 to support the GO Northwest Homebuyers Club, a program designed to help prospective homebuyers who live, work, or plan to purchase a home in Northwest Baltimore achieve mortgage readiness.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>University of Maryland Eastern Shore <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in Somerset County will receive $30,000 to fund professional contract services for their Business Launchpad Program, which prepares entrepreneurs to successfully launch their businesses.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Housing Initiative Partnership, Inc.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in Prince George\u2019s County will receive $15,000 to support a three-year strategic plan focused on sustainable programming and increased housing production.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Habitat for Humanity Washington County, Inc.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in Washington County will receive $30,000 to cover staff costs for the construction of new affordable homes for low- to moderate-income families in McCleary Hill.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For a full list of awardees, click <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/dhcd\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2025\/10\/Maryland-Department-of-Housing-and-Community-Development-FY26-Technical-Assistance-Grant-Awards-Sheet1.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
