Last year, <a href=\"https:\/\/indd.adobe.com\/view\/f3ce175f-ec54-4ef2-b716-cd68fff7121d\">DHCD helped finance 27 affordable housing projects while creating or preserving nearly 3,000 housing units.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe DHCD-MAHC partnership is an important piece of solving Maryland\u2019s housing crisis,\u201d said<b> Secretary Jake Day.<\/b> \u201cOur combined work through advocacy and action gets us one step closer to creating a state that is more affordable to live.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCongratulations to the MAHC Members who have been recognized as winners of this year\u2019s DHCD Multifamily Housing Awards! Your dedication to solving the State\u2019s affordable housing challenges and revitalizing Maryland communities through innovative design and construction are inspiring,\u201d <b>said MAHC Executive Director Miranda Darden-Willems.<\/b> \u201cWe also extend our sincere thanks to the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development for their invaluable partnership in creating and advancing housing opportunities across the State.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Greg Hare, Assistant Secretary of the Division of Development Finance, presented the annual Multifamily Housing Awards on Thursday, which were selected by DHCD staff after a call for nominations.
