Congratulations to each of the awardees, and thank you for all you do for your communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dhcd.maryland.gov\/Business\/Pages\/Microgrant.aspx\">Business Boost awards<\/a> are offered through DHCD\u2019s Neighborhood BusinessWorks program and provides applicants with microgrants ranging from $20,000 to $50,000 to support small businesses who need capital for growth and\/or expansion opportunities. Grantees are subject to a 45-day local approval process before awards are distributed.<\/p>\n<p>The department will provide $908,162 to <a href=\"https:\/\/dhcd.maryland.gov\/Documents\/PressReleases\/2025-DHCD-Business-Boost-Round-2.pdf\">22 businesses<\/a> across eight counties and Baltimore City that showcased a well-defined plan to expand operations and positively impact Maryland\u2019s local communities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Three Charles County businesses received a total of $120,000:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sublime Soul in La Plata. The award will assist with renovations, buy equipment, and hire new employees.<\/li>\n<li>Pool Scouts of Southern MD &amp; Annapolis. Located in White Plains, the microgrant will be used to support the hiring of new staff and to establish a physical office and storage facility within Charles County.<\/li>\n<li>World View Early Learning Center.
