{"id":11494,"date":"2023-08-04T15:10:36","date_gmt":"2023-08-04T19:10:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/dhcd\/?p=11494"},"modified":"2023-08-04T15:10:32","modified_gmt":"2023-08-04T19:10:32","slug":"public-notice-green-and-healthy-task-force-to-hold-public-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.maryland.gov\/dhcd\/2023\/08\/04\/public-notice-green-and-healthy-task-force-to-hold-public-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"Public Notice: Green and Healthy Task Force to hold Public Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p dir=\"ltr\">As mandated by the passage of HB169, the Maryland Department of\u00a0Housing and Community Development is establishing the Green and Healthy\u00a0Task\u00a0Force\u00a0as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Beginning July 1, 2023, meet quarterly for a period of 3 years<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Advance the alignment, branding, and coordination of resources to more effectively deliver green and healthy housing for low-income households in the State<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Examine the public and private resources needed to address the housing needs of low-income communities<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Develop policy and statutory recommendations to eliminate barriers to low-income households achieving healthy, energy-efficient, affordable, and low-emission housing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Engage with interested parties and collaborate with other entities that can help advance the goals of the\u00a0task\u00a0force, including experts in the field of healthy, energy-efficient, and low-emission housing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">On or before July 1, 2024, and each July 1 through 2027, the\u00a0task\u00a0force\u00a0shall report its findings and recommendations to the Secretary of Health, the Secretary of the Environment, the Commission, the Governor, and, in accordance with \u00a72-1257 of the State Government Article, the General Assembly<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: arial, sans-serif\">DHCD will hold the first Task Force meeting on August 8, at 3 p.m.\u00a0 This meeting is virtual, and the public can watch live at the link or join through the phone number listed below.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>Tuesday, August 8, 3 p.m. &#8211;
