PUBLIC NOTICE: BEAD Restructuring Policy Notice

Notice to All Providers of Unlicensed Fixed Wireless Broadband Service in Maryland

In accordance with the NTIA’s (National Telecommunications and Information Administration) BEAD (Broadband Equity Access and Deployment) Restructuring Policy Notice dated June 6, 2025, the Maryland Office of Statewide Broadband (OSB) is offering providers of unlicensed fixed wireless service the opportunity to submit evidence demonstrating that BEAD funding is not required for locations they currently serve.

This opportunity applies only to locations reported by providers in the latest available FCC Broadband Data Collection (BDC). Providers must notify OSB within 7 calendar days of this posting of their intent to submit credible evidence, and must submit such evidence by that deadline. Failure to respond by the deadline will result in the locations being considered eligible for BEAD funding.

Instructions for Providers:

• Review your current service footprint as reported in the most recent FCC BDC.
• Submit written notice and accompanying credible evidence to OSB at [email protected] no later than 7 calendar days from the date of this public notice.
• Evidence must comply with the requirements outlined in Appendix A of the BEAD Restructuring Policy Notice.
