Public Notice: FY 2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Application Workshop
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) will host a virtual application workshop for the State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.
Workshop Details
Date: Monday, April 20, 2026
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Virtual (Google Meet link will be provided upon registration)
Eligible Applicants
Eligible applicants include:
- Local governments only
- Rural cities and towns with populations under 50,000
- Counties with populations under 200,000
Purpose of Funding
CDBG funds may be used for:
- Development and preservation of decent, affordable housing
- Construction and renovation of infrastructure and public facilities
- Projects that serve vulnerable populations
- Activities in areas where at least 70% of residents are low- to moderate-income
Who Should Participate
- Elected officials or staff from eligible non-entitlement local governments
- Staff from organizations that may serve as subrecipients, if invited by an eligible local government
