PUBLIC NOTICE: Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development to Hold Virtual Public Hearing on HUD Annual Action Plan for FY 2026–SFY 2027

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is inviting the public to provide input on housing and community development needs across the state. This feedback will help shape the State’s upcoming Annual Action Plan (AAP) for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2026–State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2027.

The Annual Action Plan is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and explains how federal funding will be used to support housing, community development, and economic opportunity for Maryland residents during the period July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.

The AAP covers the following HUD programs:

  • Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
  • HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME)
  • Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
  • Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA)
  • Housing Trust Fund (HTF)

Public Hearing:

DHCD will hold one virtual public hearing to receive comments from residents about housing and community development needs throughout Maryland. The hearing is open to the public.
