Free Clean Energy Support for Multi-Family Maryland Affordable Housing Providers

Multi-Family Maryland affordable housing providers can now access free support to help bring clean energy improvements to their properties!

This capacity-building program gives multi-family housing providers the tools and resources needed to secure energy efficiency upgrade financing, improve energy performance, and meet Maryland’s building performance standards—all at no cost to participants.

Program Highlights:

This opportunity is made possible by the National Housing Trust (NHT) with support from Stewards of Affordable Housing for the Future (SAHF) and New Ecology, Inc., in partnership with the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE), and the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA).

The program includes:

  • In-person kick-off convening

    • Date: Thursday, May 22, 2025

    • Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

    • Location: Montgomery Park, 1800 Washington Blvd, Baltimore, MD 21230

  • 5–7 educational webinars

    • Topics include:

      • Clean energy programs and funding opportunities

      • Tools to evaluate your building’s energy use

      • Utility data collection and benchmarking best practices

      • And more!

  • One-on-one technical assistance

    • Tailored support to help you:

      • Analyze energy opportunities in your properties

      • Leverage funding

      • Comply with Maryland’s Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS)

  • Access to real-world case studies and helpful resources
    Learn from others and explore ways to decarbonize your housing portfolio.
