PUBLIC NOTICE: 2024 Action Plan Amendment – Recovery Housing Program

The State of Maryland has been awarded funding in the amount of $1,182,080 from the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Recovery Housing Program (RHP). A
substantial amendment to the FY 2024 Annual Action Plan is necessary in order to receive the
RHP funds. For this grant, the State is proposing to use the funds through a competitive process
to county governments who can apply for themselves or on behalf of eligible non-profit
providers to provide recovery housing for women and children.

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) hereby gives
notice that the substantial amendment to the FY 2024 Action Plan will be available for public
review and comment from October 2 through November 1, 2024. Upon conclusion of the
comment period on November 1st, all responses received will be considered and the plan will be
finalized and submitted to HUD.

There will be two public hearings during the comment period to discuss the proposed plan. The
public hearings will be held:
