PUBLIC NOTICE: Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development To Hold Public Hearing, Request Public Comment on HUD PRO Housing Application

NEW CARROLLTON, MD (October 13, 2023) – The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development has prepared an application for funding in response to the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department’s Notice of Funding Opportunity for the Pathways to Removing Obstacles (PRO) Housing grant. The application proposes to use nearly $10,000,000 in PRO Housing grant funding to implement statewide fair housing planning activities and to create a competitive local funding pool that will remove barriers to affordable housing in Maryland.

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development will hold a virtual public hearing on Monday, October 23 at 5:00 pm EST to gather input on the application.

The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development invites comments during its public comment period beginning Friday, October 13, 2023 and extending through 5:00 pm EST Thursday, October 28, 2023. 

Individuals who are unable to attend the public hearing are encouraged to review the draft application online and submit written comments to [email protected]. All comments must be received by 5:00 pm EST Thursday, October 28, 2023.
