Postponement of the Maryland State Summit on School Safety

BALTIMORE – In light of today’s tragic events at Great Mills High School in St. Mary’s County, as well as the unseasonably inclement weather, this week’s planned Maryland Center for School Safety Summit has been postponed.

An announcement of a new date is expected in the coming weeks.

The summit, bringing together safety experts from all 24 Maryland school systems had been scheduled to take place this Thursday, March 22, in Annapolis.
