Maryland State Department of Education to Meet on Tuesday, March 28

Work Session Set for March 27

BALTIMORE – The Maryland State Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, March 28, at the Maryland State Department of Education, 200 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore. It will be held in the State Board room on the 7th floor beginning at 9 a.m.

In addition, the State Board will hold a work session on Monday, March 27. It will be held in conference room 6 in on MSDE’s 8th floor beginning at 10 a.m. The session will be used to discuss Maryland’s plan for the Every Student Succeeds Act.

Items on this month’s regular agenda include the following:

9:03 a.m. Every Student Succeeds Act
The Maryland State Department of Education will continue its consideration of Maryland’s plan for the federal Every Student Succeeds Act.

11:20 p.m. Baltimore County
The State Superintendent’s report will spotlight Baltimore County, and include a scheduled visit from Superintendent Dallas Dance.

2:45 p.m. Strategic Planning
The State Board will continue on its vision and mission statements.
