State Agriculture Department Hosting GIS Day Event in Annapolis on Nov. 15

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Maryland Department of Agriculture will celebrate GIS Day on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 to showcase the uses of geographic information system (GIS) technology in Maryland agriculture. The department has shown innovative application of technology, data collection, geospatial information visualization, and thought leadership through GIS technology in the field of agriculture.

The event is open to the public and will include presentations, demonstrations and poster sessions for GIS users and non-users. The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the department’s headquarters at 50 Harry S. Truman Parkway, Annapolis, Maryland 21401.
