Media Advisory: 51st Annual U.S. Oyster Festival in St. Mary’s County
ANNAPOLIS, MD – Maryland’s Best Seafood—a program within the Maryland Department of Agriculture—is sponsoring the 51st Annual U.S. Oyster Festival in Leonardtown (St. Mary’s) on October 21-22. This two-day festival will feature a variety of vendors and exhibitors serving up different takes on Maryland oysters. There will also be plenty of live entertainment and attractions for the whole family.
The festival’s two main events are the National Oyster Shucking Contest and the National Oyster Cook-Off. The Cook-Off competition is an official qualifying event for the World Food Championships. For more information on the event, visit the U.S. Oyster Festival website.
