Secretary Bartenfelder to Visit Creameries on Maryland’s Best Ice Cream Trail: Rocky Point Creamery, Woodbourne Creamery at Rock Hill Orchard

ANNAPOLIS, MD  – Maryland Agriculture Secretary Joe Bartenfelder and Deputy Secretary Jim Eichhorst will kick off the 2017 Ice Cream Trail by visiting two creameries on June 13 in Frederick and Montgomery counties. The trail includes nine dairy farms that produce and sell ice cream directly to consumers right on the farm.

The 2017 Ice Cream Trailblazer passport is available online at www.marylandsbest.net and will be available at any of the creameries. Anyone who completes their Ice Cream Trail passport by visiting every stop on the trail and answering a question from each creamery before Sept. 25 will have their passport entered into a drawing to be named the 2017 Ice Cream Trail Blazer.

Maryland’s Best Ice Cream Trail includes the following nine farms:

  1. Broom’s Bloom Dairy (Harford County)
  2. Chesapeake Bay Farms (Worcester County – now two locations)
  3. Keyes Creamery (Harford County)
  4. Kilby Cream (Cecil County)

  6. Prigel Family Creamery (Baltimore County)
  7. Rocky Point Creamery (Frederick County)
