Agriculture Department Makes Zika PSAs Available to Media

ANNAPOLIS, MD – As part of the state’s Zika Virus Awareness campaign, the Maryland Department of Agriculture has released a series of Public Service Announcements (PSAs) encouraging the public to join the state’s efforts to prevent the spread of Zika virus. The 30-second clips offer tips on how to remove and prevent mosquito breeding areas on personal property. There is also a bonus “Skeeter Song” parody video. The department has made the PSAs available in several formats for any media outlet interested in posting or sharing them.

Video versions of the PSAs are posted on the department’s website at: www.mda.maryland.gov/zika. There is an option to download the MP4 file or stream via YouTube. Audio files are available to stream or download via SoundCloud.

Additionally, the department has made the PSA scripts available for download. These can be used for live spots or re-recordings.
