Meeting Notice: Nutrient Management Advisory Committee to Meet May 17

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Nutrient Management Advisory Committee will meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, at the Maryland Department of Agriculture, 50 Harry S Truman Pkwy, Annapolis. Items on the agenda include: updates on the Phosphorous Management Tool, soil data collection, alternative use technology and the manure transport program.

Established in 1992 to develop and refine regulations and requirements for Maryland’s Nutrient Management Program, the Nutrient Management Advisory Committee includes representatives from the Maryland Department of Agriculture, the US Department of Agriculture, University of Maryland, Maryland Departments of the Environment and Natural Resources, Maryland Farm Bureau, Delaware-Maryland Agribusiness Association, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, commercial lawn care companies, and the biosolids industry, as well as local governments and the state legislature.
