Maryland Young Farmer Advisory Board Seeks Nominations

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Maryland Young Farmer Advisory Board is seeking nominations to fill three vacancies. The Board represents the state’s young farmers and serves as an advisory body to the Maryland Agricultural Commission and Secretary of Agriculture. As a group, the board members address legislative and policy issues that affect Maryland Young Farmers.

For consideration, applicants must be Maryland residents who are interested in the preservation and development of Maryland’s agricultural community. Applicants must also be under the age of 45 at the beginning of their term and derive at least 50 percent of their personal income from farming or agricultural activities. The Maryland Young Farmers Advisory Board meets the third Wednesday of January, April, July and October from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
