Public Notice: MDA to Increase Mosquito Control Activities in Anne Arundel County

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Maryland Department of Agriculture, in cooperation with Anne Arundel County, will expand mosquito control services in Anne Arundel County due to evidence of West Nile virus in the area.

Mosquito Control ULV spraying will occur in the following communities on Thursday, Sept. 10, and the following Thursday, Sept. 17, weather permitting, beginning at or after 7:30 p.m.:  Acreslee, Bentwillow Heights, Burwood Gardens, Capitol Hills, Cromwell Manor, Ferndale Farms, Fernglen Manor, Ferdinand Heights, Furnace Branch, Glen Ridge, Glenmore, Harris Heights, Herritage Hill, Inverness Woods, North Wellham, Oakleae Villas, Pleasantville, Quan Plaza, Rippling Ridge, Sundown Brook, Trevor Woods, Wellington, and Wood Crest Gardens.

Any existing spray exemptions in the area will be temporarily suspended. People should avoid outdoor activities on spray nights. For a map of the area to be treated or call MDA’s Mosquito Control Program at 410-841-5870.
