MDA to Increase Mosquito Control Activities in Anne Arundel County
ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Maryland Department of Agriculture, in cooperation with Anne Arundel County, will expand mosquito control services in Anne Arundel County due to evidence of West Nile virus in the area.
Mosquito Control ULV spraying will occur in the following communities on Tuesday, Sept. 1, and the following Tuesday, Sept. 8, weather permitting, beginning at or after 7:30 p.m.: Castle Harbour, Fox Chase, Fox Chase Woods, Gartel Mill, Gray’s Luck, The Highlands, Marley Run, Martindale, The Orchard, Shetland Square, South Gate, Sunny Village, Wood Holme, Valley brook.

Any existing spray exemptions in the area will be temporarily suspended. People should avoid outdoor activities on spray nights. For more information, call MDA’s Mosquito Control Program at 410-841-5870.
