Bryan Harris, MDA’s new Implementation Coordinator with the Nutrient Management Program

ANNAPOLIS, MD —The Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) today announced that Bryan Harris has been hired for the position of Implementation Coordinator with the Nutrient Management Program. Harris began his new duties September 9.

In his new position, Harris will oversee both the agricultural and turfgrass nutrient management programs. Harris joined MDA in 2002 as a nutrient management specialist serving farmers in Frederick, Carroll, Howard, and Montgomery counties.  He worked with both the implementation and certification and licensing sections of the Nutrient Management Program.

Prior to joining MDA, Bryan worked for University of Maryland Extension as a nutrient management consultant in Carroll County. Harris is a graduate of the University Of Maryland Institute Of Applied Agriculture.

Harris lives in York County, PA with his family. He has an agricultural background and still farms evenings and weekends.
