Agriculture Department Names Anne Arundel, Wicomico Residents Employee of the Quarter
Sally Terry has more than 40 years, Dawn Bradley nearly 15 years with the State
ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) named Sally Terry, an Anne Arundel County resident, Employee of the Quarter for Customer Service and Dawn Bradley, a Wicomico County resident, Employee of the Quarter for Leadership. Deputy Secretary Mary Ellen Setting presented each employee with a plaque of appreciation during a department-wide staff meeting.
“MDA could not meet its mission to serve agriculture and the citizens of Maryland without its talented and dedicated employees,” said Deputy Secretary Setting. “Sally has been a tireless and devoted employee of MDA for many years, and I am very pleased to recognize her many contributions today.”
Terry is an Executive Associate to the Deputy Secretary. She has worked for the State of Maryland for 41 years and was recognized for her positive “can do” attitude, organizational skills, strong work ethic and problem-solving skills, especially while learning new job responsibilities while assuming the duties of another position in the office due to a vacancy.
Bradley is the Cover Crop Program Administrator within the Office of Resource Conservation. She has been instrumental in providing leadership and support in the development and implementation of a new innovative data management system for the Maryland Cover Crop Program.
“Dawn’s input and management of the technical aspects of the cover crop program have directly contributed to the success of the program,” said Deputy Secretary Setting. “Her cheerful attitude projects to colleagues and the agricultural community and she can mediate conflicts with remarkable patience and admirable tact. I am pleased to recognize her leadership today”
