MDA to Award $1 Million for Innovative Technologies for Managing Manure Projects in Frederick, Howard, Worcester Counties

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Maryland Department of Agriculture will award two grants totaling $1 million for the demonstration of innovative technologies for managing manure. Following the awards presentation, Millennium Farm owner/operator Jason Lambertson will host a tour of phase one of the project currently underway with Planet Found Energy Development technology and showcase the anaerobic digester component of the project. It will be linked to the nutrient recovery system which is supported by the State award and will produce electricity and offset propane costs for poultry house heating.
