Congratulations to Rod. J. Rosenstein
TOWSON, MD — Congratulations to Rod J. Rosenstein, U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland, for his nomination as Deputy United States Attorney for the Department of Justice.
When I took office at the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services, I was determined to root out corruption wherever we found it.
Thanks to Rosenstein, we were able to do just that, charging 18 correctional officers, 35 inmates and 27 outsiders for their roles in a conspiracy which saw inmates bribing correctional officers, and correctional officers and outsiders smuggling tobacco, drugs, and cell phones into the Eastern Correctional Institution.
Rosenstein was also integral to securing the indictments of correctional officers and members of the Black Guerrilla Family gang on racketeering charges for their actions at the former Baltimore City Detention Center.
Hundreds turned out to thank the longest U.S. Attorney in modern history for his service to the state of Maryland, including Glenn Fueston (left) and Sheriff Mike Lewis (right).
Thank you for making our employees and our state safer for everyone! We wish you the best!
