Honor Guard represents Public Safety at annual Wreath Laying Ceremony

Washington, D.C. – The Jessup Correctional Institution Honor Guard was again asked to participate in the National Correctional Employees Week Wreath Laying Ceremony.

Saturday, May 7 was the 25th anniversary of the event, held annually at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. The Honor Guard was joined by Secretary Stephen T. Moyer and Gary McLhinney, Director of Professional Standards.

The Honor Guard represented Public Safety beautifully, as it paid respect to three Maryland correctional officers killed in the line of duty – Herman Lester Touslon, Jr.; Jeffrey Alan Wroten; and David Warren McGuinn – and the correctional officers lost throughout the country.
