Sweet! Honeybees come to women’s prison

(TOWSON, MD) — The newest program at Maryland’s progressive women’s prison is sweet, indeed. Honeybees arrived at  Maryland Correctional Institution – Women on May 18.

MCI-W now joins the Maryland Correctional Training Center in Hagerstown as DPSCS facilities to have inmates work with correctional staff and outside volunteers who are master beekeepers.
