Canada Goose Hunting Season Opens

Maryland’s Most Popular Waterfowl Season

gooseMaryland’s migratory Atlantic Population Canada goose hunting season runs Nov. 19-25, and again from Dec. 16, 2016 through Feb. 4, 2017. The daily bag limit is two geese per day in this Canada Goose Hunting Zone.

“This waterfowl season includes nine Saturdays, giving goose hunters ample opportunity to spend time in the field with friends and family,” said Wildlife and Heritage Service Director Paul Peditto. “These hunts provide a great source of food and fond memories that will be shared by hunters and non-hunters alike as they enjoy Maryland’s abundant hunting opportunities.”
