Blooming spring wildflowers will brighten the journey as bikers learn about the flora and fauna along the scenic Western Maryland Rail Trail. Led by a park naturalist, the tour is taken at leisurely pace and will cover approximately 20 miles round-trip.

The tour is open to all ages and will be held rain or shine. Participants will meet at 10 a.m. at the C&O Bicycle Shop. The shop offers bike rentals and can be contacted directly at 301-678-6665.

The Western Maryland Rail Trail is a former railway that has been converted to a paved 22-mile walking and biking trail. Click here for a full calendar of events for Fort Frederick State Park.
