Dan’s Mountain State Park to Host 6,000-Egg Hunt!

The annual Egg Hunt at Dan’s Mountain is back and better than ever, with more than 6,000 candy-filled eggs hidden in the park’s pool area, and a variety door prizes up for grabs! 

Hunters will be divided into five age groups. There is no charge for admission, and all participants will receive a free hot dog and drink. Registration is not required.

The event is sponsored by several local businesses and organizations including Burger King in LaVale, the United Methodist Church in Lonaconing, First Peoples in Lonaconing, Goodwill Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, B&B Meats, the Town of Lonaconing, B&R Masonry, D&D Motors, Duckworth Insurance, the Presbyterian Church in Lonaconing, Dwight Bittinger Auto Body, Foodlion in Frostburg, Martins in LaVale, and Stroehmann’s Bakery.

“Dan’s Mountain State Park is extremely fortunate to have so much support from the local community,” said Park Manager Erin Thomas. “The annual Egg Hunt is organized by the Dan’s Mountain Park Association, a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the park.”
