Natural Resources Police LogoThe Maryland Natural Resources Police issued multiple citations for drug and fishing violations.

Allegany County ─ NRP officers patrolling a trout stream last Friday charged two Cumberland men, one with fishing in a closed area and the other with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The men were stopped on Wills Creek in Corriganville after one of them was observed fishing from a put-and-take area that was closed. 

Edward Robert Lehmann, 22, was issued a single citation.

The second man, Sean Thomas Major, 21, was issued criminal citations for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Frederick County ─ An officer on patrol at Rainbow Lake in Emmitsburg on March 14 issued citations to four people for drug violations.

The officer approached a car parked in the watershed just after 10:30 p.m. and noticed five people who appeared to be trying to hide something. The adults admitted to smoking marijuana.

Austin Christopher Walters, 19, of Reisterstown; Rebecca Kathleen Schisler, 18, of Bozmon; and Allison Ann Baker, 18, and Sara Nicole Beers, 19, both of Toms River, N.J.; each received citations for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
