DNR Forest Service Offices in Cumberland to Relocate to Rocky Gap

by kking

The DNR Forest Service Western Regional and Allegany County Project offices will be relocating from leased space in downtown Cumberland to Rocky Gap State Park effective March 25, 2014. The offices will occupy a DNR facility located at 14110 Pleasant Valley Road, Flintstone, MD, 21530. All telephone numbers will remain the same.

The Rocky Gap site is off of Interstate 68, approximately nine miles east of its current location. With work to be completed this fall, the new site will see increased parking and improved access for visitors with disabilities. In using a DNR facility, there will also be a substantial savings in operating costs.

The DNR Wildlife and Heritage Service Regional Office will remain at its current location in downtown Cumberland for the present time, with an anticipated relocation to its new office in Rocky Gap in late 2014.
