Body of Missing Salisbury Angler Recovered

Natural Resources Police LogoThe body of a Salisbury angler, who went missing during a weekend fishing tournament, was recovered this morning by Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP).

The body of Otto Paul Lynch, 63, was turned over to the state Medical Examiner’s office.

Lynch’s unoccupied Ranger bass boat was found adrift Saturday near Snow Hill. Anglers towed the boat ashore and called authorities.

NRP began a search operation with assistance from Maryland State Police, Snow Hill emergency personnel and the¬†Worcester* County Sheriff’s office. Officers used side-scan sonar and shoreline surveys to conduct their sweep of the area.

NRP continued sunrise-to-sunset recovery operations on Sunday and Monday.
