Bidding Opens for Trapping Privileges on Select Eastern Shore Wildlife Management Areas

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is currently accepting bids for the 2013-2014 trapping seasons at Ellis Bay, Fishing Bay, Idylwild, LeCompte, Linkwood, Nanticoke River,  Taylor’s Island, and Wetipquin Wildlife Management Areas (WMA). 

Applicants must pick up bid packages in person at the LeCompte WMA office located at 4220 Steeles Neck Road, Vienna, Md.

Applicants must return sealed bids to the LeCompte WMA office by 12 p.m. on October 18, 2013.  DNR will award annual trapping leases to the highest bidder, as determined during the bid opening, to be held at 1 p.m. that same day.

More information is available by calling 410-376-3236 ext. 302 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
